The Carteret County Home is like no other B&B in Beaufort.  Even though we are not as historically old as the other B&B's in town, we are the only one listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Here's everything we offer so you can make a quick copy for reference.  Even though we call ourselves a B&B, we are really so much more....

• Ten individually decorated (and private!) rooms with original hardwood floors and colorful, comfortable furnishings. One room has 2 twin beds; 2 rooms have 1 queen and 1 twin bed and the others all have 1 queen bed.  Martha Stewart would approve!

• Private bath and entrances (one from the covered front porch; the other from the back deck.) The rooms are all on one level taking 3 steps up from the driveway to the back deck entrance.

• Cable TV, VCR, Radio, Telephone in the room.

• Individually controlled A/C and heat and ceiling fans to keep you cool in the summer and cozy warm in the winter.

• Kitchenettes with microwave, coffee maker, toaster, 'frig and stovetop. Plates and pots and pans too!

• Kids of all ages  and pets of all sizes are more than welcome! We have a huge back yard for them to play in too! But remember to bring their toys and bedding (for the pets!) - it's their vacation too.  If you want a "pet free" room, we have 6 available - just ask!

• A breakfast basket full of homemade muffins and bagels delivered to your room to be enjoyed with the complimentary juices, yogurt, fruit and bottled water we leave in the refrigerator for your use. Sorry, we do not have a soda machine.

• All our rooms are smoke-free. Smoking is OK on front and back porches. Please no candles

• Check-in between 3-6 pm (we are somewhat flexible!)
• Check-out by 11 am (we are somewhat flexible!!)

• Confirmed reservations require a 50% deposit of total charges (minimum of 1 night)  Full refund if cancellation is received more than 72 hours prior to date of arrival. If cancellation, fail to show, or shortened stay is less than 72 hours, deposit will be forfeited. There is a $25 cancellation fee no matter what!

• Croquet anyone? How about a fast game of ping-pong or laze in our hammocks and rocking chairs. We're just down the road from the bike trail. You name it... we probably have it....just ask!

• Please inquire about availability of group rates for your wedding parties, family reunions or whatever!  Our "party barn" is the perfect setting for groups of all sizes.

• Why not have your next affair with  us? Our new post and beam "party barn" will be perfect for your family reunions, receptions, pig-pickin's and weddings. We're the perfect place to stay and play and  it's the best deal in town!  Not only do you get to use a terrific barn (and not have to rent a tent!!) the rental rate also includes the use of tables and chairs that will seat 75.

• We offer reasonable weekly vacation rates AND you don't have to bring your own sheets or pay extra for cleaning or forfeit a huge pet deposit!

• We love having guests use our huge back decks to lounge, cook their catch on the grills, wander in the gardens or join us in our evening cribbage or dominos game. 

• Don't let the address scare you away...we're located on the edge of town and offer a peaceful, country setting with enough space for your boat and bikes and kayaks and other toys! Just let us know what you're hauling!

• As is required when operating a B&B, we live here so we can be of service to you at any time !

• Except for a few special weekends, we don't require two or three night minimums.

• 2007 rates: April through September at $105/night/double occupancy plus tax
• 2007 rates:  October and November $95/night/double occupancy plus tax.
• 2007 rates: December to March at $85/night/double occupancy plus  tax.
• NOTE: All rates subject to change depending on the season, holidays and the local special events. Two night minimum may be required on some weekends. 
• Third person in room: $15 additional/night
• Pet: $15/each additional/night
• 10% discount four nights or more (high season and shoulder season rates only)
• Weekly rates available upon request
